I guess I'll go first, I have many favorites, a lot of them are tied and that's just my first 5.

These are really my top 3 because of the ties XD
The reason it is hard to categorize shota and loli as favorites, at least for me, is the type of shota, eroticism, humor, Art-style, Shota to me is an art form. To a lot it is a fap thing, while I may and do get aroused (I'll fap after read
ing something but not to it :X)I really enjoy the cuteness, the stories and so much more. Shota is not meant to be taken literally. I'm 100% gay yet I enjoy loli, too. It's not all about the sex but the art. Once you can see shota as an artform you will understand what it's all about ... Most will not reach this epiphany, many will simply think of it as pron. With that quip here is my list and the reason why my #1 is #1.

1. Uchouten [Luciferhood] - My ALL time favorite. Spitfire Classic was the first shota book I owned. It also was what led me down the shota/loli road. I especially love the SpitFire series, it connects with me on many levels and it's THE MOST advanced Shota-based series in the entire genre. There are over a hundred CD's, Doujinshi, Copy Books and a 3 Manga set. SpitFire is not your usual run of the mill shota, each character has a story and there is even Novels that don't have a single picture. It is literally a Manga series focusing on the many aspects of human nature, love and death primarily.
I also LOVE their Gundam work, I never seen the series but I have a ton of Ucho Gundam doujinshi.
Another factor is how their art evolved over time, to an almost completely different style but both being absolutely amazing~~~
M. Horo and F. Tohdo were quite the intellectual pair and were considered rock stars in the Japanese Shota community and from I heard they would be one of the most busiest booths at cons!

Hehehe~! Yeah, they are all pretty much the same artist, or at least one of the two artists who illustrated under the name Uchoten XD! Like Dari-kun, Uchoten basically started my fandom going into a whole new level. I mean, Dari-kun touched on a few points about why they are so great, and all I can add to that is the term "variety". Uchoten was good about doing all kinds of genres (shota/loli, adult yaoi, adult yuri, adult straight hentai, kemono, etc...). I mean, there are A LOT of artists I love, like Kiriya (LOVE Kiriya!! XDD), but a lot of these artists stick to one genre and never branch out. I think Uchoten's true genius was the ability to not only branch out into several genres, but do it sooooooo freakin' well each time! They could do anything, and they pretty much did! ^_^
Oh, but Hoshiai Hiro, who also is known for variety, would be like number 6, probably followed by Kiriya~ ^_-

The main story itself is black and white with about 27 pages to translate. well guys... just revisiting the old question in this section... in my case i find that the style draws me towards an artist, for example Uchoten´s early style is really great in my opinion, as well as their later style, but one thing i know that persists in their works is an awesome story (still echo i.e) or kiriya´s just naughty stories and style XD or m-works (really lucky guys if i may say so)

Hey there! I'm so grateful that there is a group that does this! It's hard to ask for translations for something like this without being judged. As it is, I have found a shota that interests me, but it is not translated. I don't know if you guys would still do it, but it has diapers involved where the child wearing them is not a baby or toddler. It's a fetish thing, and if you're uncomfortable, that's fine. I just wouldn't know where else to ask.

Hello! I asked this question via email and I would like to ask it again here. It is about a certain artist you favor a lot. I am very curious about them and would like to know more information if possible.
ReplyDeleteThe artists in question are Uchoten aka Luciferhood aka Fumika Tohdoh and Makoto Horo. I used to dislike them very much but after reading a few posts about them on your blog, I tried to understand their reasoning better and be more considerate.
Could you please tell me what you know about them outside of their artwork? Do you have any idea how old they were, if they had any other jobs, what their interests were, and most important of all why did they go on a hiatus? Do you know what could have provoked this decission and why did they need time for "recovery" as was mentioned on your blog? Could you also go a little bit into the drugs aspect if possible?
Also, what do you think could have provoked them to draw the kind of stuff they drawed? I am no expert and I don't want to sound judgemental, so I'd like to hear your opinion. Could some event from childhood provoke something like this in your opinion?
Any information and help would be very highly appreciated.

ReplyDeleteBoutoku here! It's funny you should ask about the "Momota-ke" series as that has been a discussion at your group for the last few days. While we actually did approve and decide to work on this project, it came to my attention that another shota translation group (Shotachan) was interested in the project as well.
It is listed under their Current Translations list:

Therefore, you should see a translation of that series of books, even if it is not done by our particular group.

@ Animeboy, The reason you may be having in regards to your blog with adult material could be various reasons such as what are you using as file hosts are you posting outright nude material, what host you are using and most of all, our blog has an adult content warning before anyone can enter, I would definitly reccomend doing that. If you are posting images on the blog itself you might want to go with livejournal as they are a bit more lenient.

Was the shota scan of the manga that parodied Children's Day removed or requested to be removed by the author or their Rep? I searched the entire site and can't find it. I don't recall the name of the manga or author as I have been away from the site for months. ReplyDeleteAlso, I was wondering if you did requests, and if so, if you could translate a few of Yogurt Prince's artworks (other than Takenokoya, he's my favorite)? I love his artwork, and would love it even more if I knew what was happening through the text. I have 5 sets of his artwork, all of which (I think) are mini stories of boys who get trapped in a tentacle like monster or by demon boys and milked of their semen. All of these sets are from the Hitomi website.

l would even appreciate it if you just translated the text onto a document, linked it to the pictures it belong to (so just posting one picture next to it so I knew what scene it was for), and gave it to me. If that would be a quicker process for you, instead of editing the text into the speech bubbles and text boxes.
If you are not able to translate them, in either fashion, that's totally fine.

What other forums you recommend for translations? I need help translating from Japanese, too much Kanji for me, to English. I can then translate to Spanish if need be.
